Job Overview
The Assistant Manager in Distribution Support (Middle Office) will assist in overseeing fit and proper assessments within the hiring framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting distribution-related functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in evaluating complex fit and proper assessment cases to obtain Hiring Authority Approval (HAA).
- Help establish and maintain structured workflows to guarantee adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), from identifying problems to deploying and refining solutions consistently.
- Participate in reviewing and implementing modifications to the fit and proper framework to ensure smooth operational changes.
- Take charge of conducting fit and proper assessments for representative appointments under the Representative Notification Framework (RNF), including assessments, recommendations, highlighting adverse findings, and escalating for further evaluation.
- Ensure all candidate documentation is complete and accurate.
- Engage with candidates, hiring managers, and internal parties regarding recruitment matters such as required documentation, due diligence checks, and signing Agency Agreements.
- Provide regular candidate and representative appointment statistics and reports to Distribution Channels.
- Conduct routine checks and declarations, including daily credit monitoring and annual self-declarations from representatives.
- Support additional Distribution Support functions like responding to audit requests concerning fit and proper assessments and continuous process reviews to enhance efficiency.
- Undertake other assigned projects or tasks as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in any field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Distribution Support, specifically with the MAS Representative Notification Framework.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Self-motivated, independent, and results-driven.
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of influencing various stakeholders.
