Job description
Overview
We seek an experienced Assistant Manager specializing in Business Development to join Elite Steel at our Head Office in Queensland, Australia. This role focuses on driving growth by targeting projects within Civil Works, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Oil & Gas industries.
Core Responsibilities
- Align business development initiatives with the company's strategic goals to contribute effectively towards achieving targets.
- Generate new inquiries by proactively identifying and approaching potential clients.
- Conduct frequent client visits to foster relationships and boost inquiry generation.
- Review and assemble Pre-Qualification documentation thoroughly for bidding purposes.
- Prepare and compile comprehensive proposals tailoring them to specific tender requirements.
- Develop and present data reports as required to support business decisions.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge to clearly explain and justify submitted bids to clients.
- Maintain excellent communication and computer skills, utilizing tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word efficiently.
- Manage client interactions and cultivate strong client-handling capabilities.
- Understand tender processes including reading, compiling, and bidding.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an MBA.
- Between 6 to 7 years of work experience in business development, specifically within the construction sector covering Civil Works, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Oil & Gas projects.
