Role Overview
In partnership with a Relationship Manager, you will oversee and develop a portfolio of business banking clients ranging from Small to Medium Enterprises to Diversified & Specialised Industries. You may serve a wide variety of sectors or focus on specific industries such as Agribusiness, Health, Property, or Emerging Corporate. This role involves establishing trusted customer relationships, driving growth via acquisition, expanding wallet share, and leveraging data insights to anticipate needs. It offers multiple career growth paths within ANZ’s Business and Private Bank and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of each customer's business and financial status.
- Adopt a customer-centric stance to recommend appropriate products and services aligned to customer business needs.
- Deliver tailored solutions supporting account management and customer requirements.
- Ensure portfolio management complies fully with relevant policies and procedures.
- Oversee workflow control for compliance and customer fulfillment steps.
- Collaborate effectively with product partners and internal stakeholders to meet customer demands.
- Support growth through acquiring new customers, driving referrals, and identifying opportunities to increase wallet share.
- Develop industry insights and specialist knowledge pertinent to assigned sectors.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in commercial banking frontline positions and commercial lending.
- Competence in managing strong customer relationships by resolving service queries and minor problems.
- Excellent communication skills for customer engagement.
- Meticulous attention to detail when evaluating contracts and agreements.
- Ability to assess customers’ creditworthiness considering qualitative and quantitative factors, including the five Cs of credit.
- Capability to multitask effectively, handling customer documentation, transactions, and internal communications.
- Knowledge of risk management principles, especially credit, operational, and market risks.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
- Motivation to deepen knowledge of customers, industries, or segments, including developing specialist expertise where applicable.
