Assistant Manager - Assistant Project Manager (Façade & Glazing)

Company and Position Overview

Join Apollo Arch within the Projects and Operations department, focused on façade, glazing, and architectural envelopes. Reporting to a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager (APM) will assist in managing façade and glazing projects through all stages, from handover to project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project handover and setup by reviewing contracts, scope, and documentation, and preparing project control systems and schedules.
• Coordinate with drafting teams on shop drawings, ensuring submissions comply with architectural requirements and managing revisions.
• Raise and track Requests for Information (RFIs), resolving technical uncertainties by liaising with consultants and internal departments.
• Manage submittals and samples, including product data and approval tracking for façade materials.
• Assist in reviewing material requirements and coordinate procurement activities, monitoring lead times and supplier communications.
• Oversee fabrication coordination by tracking schedules, verifying use of approved drawings, and supporting clarification queries.
• Facilitate site and installation coordination, maintaining installation progress records and resolving field issues.
• Track change orders, maintain logs, gather supporting documentation, and collaborate with estimating teams for proper change management.
• Maintain comprehensive project trackers covering all key project activities such as drawings, RFIs, submittals, material deliveries, fabrication, installation, and closeout documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate professionally with all stakeholders including architects, contractors, suppliers, and installation teams.
• Assist quality control by reviewing shop drawings and materials, identifying discrepancies, and supporting punch-list items and final inspections.
• Support project closeout by compiling as-built documents, warranties, manuals, and ensuring proper archiving of project records.

Façade Systems Knowledge

The role requires familiarity with a variety of façade systems, including aluminum windows, window walls, curtain walls, storefronts, insulated and laminated glass, louvers, ACM/MCM panels, rainscreens, sealants, and associated hardware and flashing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and project specifications.
• Basic understanding of façade and glazing construction techniques.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with shop drawings and material takeoffs.
• Excellent organizational and documentation control skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication capabilities to prepare RFIs and project correspondence.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Experience in coordinating with drafting, estimating, procurement, fabrication, and site teams.

Education and Experience

Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields. Ideally, candidates will have around 1 to 3 years’ experience in façade, glazing, architectural aluminum, construction, drafting, estimating, or project coordination. Those with strong drafting or estimating backgrounds in façade systems are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

The monthly salary range offered is INR 50,000 to INR 60,000.
