Assistant Manager

About the Role

Panda Express is seeking qualified individuals to join their store management team as Assistant Managers, playing an integral role in operating a single store. This position focuses on hiring, supervising, and guiding associates to meet financial targets and deliver excellent customer experiences. To equip you for success, the company offers a paid Store Management Leadership Training program lasting three or more weeks, along with ongoing mentorship and community support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily store operations ensuring financial goals are met.
• Recruit, manage, and direct team members to achieve performance objectives.
• Maintain high standards of customer service to guarantee an exceptional guest experience.
• Complete store leadership training program prior to full responsibilities.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma is a minimum requirement.
• Flexibility to relocate within 50 miles of current residence to other store locations as needed.
• Availability to work various shifts including opening, closing, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business demands.
• Food Safety certification such as Serve Safe is required.

Working Conditions and ADA Compliance

This role frequently entails working in hot environments with exposure to steam and food vapors. Employees often stand for extended periods and must handle kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives promptly and accurately. Physical abilities required include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for up to four hours, and reaching across counters. The work environment is fast-paced, noisy, with limited and elevated storage. Effective verbal communication and adaptability to changing priorities and conflict situations are important.
