Role Overview
The Assistant Manager position supports the operation of a single Panda Express store by managing staff, directing activities to meet financial objectives, and ensuring superior guest service. This role includes responsibilities around hiring, managing, and directing team members. To set you up for success, Panda offers a paid leadership training program lasting three or more weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily store operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Serve Safe food safety certification mandatory.
- Willingness to relocate to any store within a 50-mile radius of residence.
- Availability for flexible schedules including opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business demands.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Employees work in hot and sometimes restrictive spaces, often standing for long durations. Tasks include preparing hot and cold food items using kitchen tools such as Chinese cook knives, requiring quickness without compromising accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for up to four hours, and reach across countertops is essential. Work occurs in a fast-paced, often noisy kitchen environment with limited storage and high shelving. The role requires effective verbal communication, adaptability to dynamic environments, and conflict management skills.
