Role Overview

The Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of a single Panda Express store. Responsibilities include hiring, managing, and guiding associates to meet financial targets and deliver exceptional guest service. This role requires commitment to store success and involves hands-on leadership supported by at least three weeks of store management training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with overall store operation management.
  • Lead hiring, training, and directing team members.
  • Ensure achievement of financial goals through effective management.
  • Maintain and deliver high outstanding customer service.
  • Participate in a comprehensive paid leadership training program to prepare for store success.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to relocate within a 50-mile radius of home if needed.
  • Availability for varied shifts including openings, closings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business requirements.
  • Serve Safe food safety certification.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills and adaptability to dynamic priorities and conflict situations.

Physical & Work Environment

Counters may be hot with steam and food vapors; workspaces are limited. Employees will prepare hot and cold foods, use kitchen equipment including Chinese cook knives, and must remain accurate and efficient. Noise levels are typically high; shelving can be elevated, requiring physical reach. Candidates must handle a fast-paced setting with strong interpersonal skills.
