Assistant Lecturer - Health

About the Role

This full-time, permanent Assistant Lecturer position is part of the Academic department in partnership with Oxford Brookes University (OBU). The role is based onsite in Longaon, Maharashtra, India, and involves engaging students in comprehensive health education to maximize learning outcomes across multiple subjects. The role spans a 12-month supervised program focusing on tutoring, lecturing, administrative, and professional duties to enhance students' educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and assess students' work, ensuring achievement of learning goals.
• Provide academic guidance and assist students as needed.
• Support Module Leaders and senior staff in planning lessons, tutorials, practical sessions, and other coursework.
• Continuously develop and refine course materials to maintain educational quality.
• Stay abreast of modern teaching methodologies and integrate technologies to enrich the learning process.
• Participate in meetings and foster collaborative relationships across teams.
• Engage in reflective staff development activities including teaching observations and professional workshops.
• Meet performance objectives related to student outcomes, satisfaction, retention, and attendance through GBS's performance framework.
• Carry out administrative tasks assigned by management.
• Undertake additional responsibilities that support overall organizational goals.

Candidate Profile

• A Master’s degree or equivalent professional achievement in a relevant academic field.
• Experience as a healthcare practitioner within the health sector.
• Proven track record of supervising students and providing constructive feedback.
• Previous teaching experience in health-related disciplines.
• Professional and ethical conduct in all staff and student interactions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the subject area.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in record keeping and reporting.
• Effective organizational skills to maintain detailed student records and manage workloads under pressure.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication abilities and experience working with diverse groups.
• Desirable: Prior lecturing experience within UK higher education and experience training large groups on health-related topics.
