Company Overview

Rixos Hotels Gulf is seeking an Assistant Learning & Development Manager to contribute to the planning, execution, and assessment of the company's learning and development strategy. This role involves close collaboration with department heads, managers, and employees to identify training requirements, coordinate educational programs, facilitate continuous professional growth, and uphold compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Learning & Development Manager in formulating and executing the yearly training and development roadmap.
  • Conduct training needs analyses jointly with department leaders and line managers.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, employee inductions, and development activities.
  • Track training participation, completion rates, program effectiveness, and gather employee feedback.
  • Support the creation of individual employee development plans and career growth initiatives.
  • Identify strategies to enhance learning methodologies, content, and employee growth programs.
  • Maintain meticulous training documentation and generate periodic L&D reports and dashboards.
  • Manage mandatory training sessions ensuring they are completed within allocated timelines.
  • Support adherence to company training policies and standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee Forbes-related training compliance, ensuring impacted staff are properly trained and records up to date.
  • Help prepare departments for internal and external training audits and assessments.
  • Monitor training compliance and follow up with departments as needed.
  • Support performance management and employee growth processes.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify high-potential employees and development pathways.
  • Assist in succession planning, talent nurturing, and career progression programs.
  • Support coaching, mentoring, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Encourage employee engagement through initiatives, surveys, and related activities.
  • Develop learning programs that enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and organizational culture.
  • Serve as a point of contact and resource for learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Coordinate and support activities of the Learning & Development team.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with department heads, managers, and external training vendors.
  • Assist in selecting and managing external training facilitators and providers.
  • Foster a culture promoting continuous education and professional advancement.

Candidate Qualifications

  • 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in Learning & Development, HR, Talent Development, or People Operations, preferably with supervisory or coordinating experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, organize, and implement training and development initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of learning needs assessment, instructional design, employee development, and training evaluation.
  • Experience supporting performance management, succession planning, talent growth, and employee engagement efforts.
  • Familiarity with training compliance, quality control standards, and specifically Forbes training compliance is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven capacity to establish strong working relationships at all organizational levels, including senior executives.
  • Effective leadership, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HR data analytics, tracking training effectiveness, reporting, and delivering L&D insights.
  • Knowledge of UAE Labour Law, relevant employment laws, and HR compliance standards.
  • Competency in HRIS/LMS systems and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong multitasking skills managing concurrent training projects and priorities.
  • High standards of professionalism, discretion, keen attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Psychology, Hospitality Management, or related disciplines.
  • Professional certifications like CIPD, SHRM, ATD, or other equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
