Role Overview
We invite motivated professionals to join us in Auckland as an Assistant Insights Manager. This position plays a pivotal role in driving commercial success through insightful account planning and analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor strategic account plans aimed at expanding distribution and commercial performance.
- Develop comprehensive account strategies that incorporate sales, volume, and market share objectives aligned with overall corporate goals.
- Forge and maintain profitable, sustainable partnerships with key accounts and external stakeholders to ensure ongoing growth.
- Track essential metrics ensuring compliance with both global and local market governance standards.
- Lead critical business projects from conception through execution, coordinating with partners and ensuring milestone achievements.
- Assess sales and market trends to generate actionable recommendations that enhance distribution and investment decisions.
- Collaborate across departments to encourage innovation, optimize processes, and apply inventive tactics.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related discipline.
- At least 5 years’ experience in account or category management, ideally within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- A strong enthusiasm for data-driven strategy and market insight utilization to boost performance.
- Proficient understanding of commercial finance and marketing principles, focusing on account profitability.
- Experience using market research and consumer insight tools such as IRI Aztec/Circana Temple, Nielsen, and PowerBI.
- Advanced abilities in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer literacy.
- A cooperative, data-oriented mindset paired with excellent communication capabilities.
- Prior exposure to FMCG, retail, or emerging category sectors is advantageous.
