Overview
Under the supervision of the Executive Housekeeper, the Assistant Housekeeper manages daily housekeeping activities on guest floors and public areas to uphold high cleanliness standards. This includes overseeing workflows and ensuring timely and flawless delivery of housekeeping services to guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Housekeeper in managing the housekeeping team, especially during their absence.
- Assign tasks efficiently to both supervisory and floor staff to guarantee prompt, courteous service to guests and internal departments.
- Participate in daily briefings to stay informed about VIP arrivals and guest special requests.
- Keep housekeeping staff updated on daily operations and provide necessary job-related information.
- Organize and schedule routine inspections by supervisors of all housekeeping zones, including occupied and unoccupied rooms.
- Address guest feedback and departmental requests to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage recruitment, staff training, performance appraisals, and resolve conflicts as needed.
- Foster and maintain effective communication across departments.
- Suggest improvements to the Executive Housekeeper to enhance housekeeping services.
- Monitor and control the use of amenities, cleaning products, tools, and equipment to meet budget and usage standards.
- Perform administrative tasks such as attending meetings and preparing reports or memorandums.
- Carry out other duties assigned as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, confident, and professional demeanor.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in the hospitality sector, particularly in housekeeping roles.
- Familiarity with cleaning methods, equipment operation, and chemical safety procedures.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
