Assistant Front Store Manager - Full Time, Flexible Hours

About the Role

Join a community-focused, locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store to provide health, beauty, and convenience services with the customer as your top priority.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the Front Store Manager in overseeing human, physical, and financial store resources to meet store goals.
• Maintain and enforce store standards to enhance customer experience, increase foot traffic, and boost profitability.
• Collaborate with the management team to ensure compliance with store standards both on the sales floor and in the backroom at all times.
• Assist in labor scheduling using Work Force Management (WFM) to optimize productivity and ensure adequate staffing levels for smooth store operations.
• Participate in hiring processes for all departments except Pharmacy in partnership with the FSM.
• Manage wage administration according to company guidelines.
• Promote a positive workplace culture by leading through core values, engaging, motivating, and mentoring staff members.

Qualifications and Skills

• Retail management experience with a proven track record of driving business results and supporting corporate programs.
• Strong leadership with the ability to guide and develop staff continuously.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication abilities.
• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities to control expenses effectively.
• Organizational and time management skills, with capacity to prioritize quickly amidst changing initiatives.
• Planning skills related to inventory management.
• Good business and financial understanding, and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits
