Assistant Chief Concierge

Position Summary

The Assistant Chief Concierge is responsible for addressing guest requests for specialized services such as transportation, reservations, and dry cleaning by coordinating with relevant service providers. They must ensure guest satisfaction by following up on unique requirements and provide guests with detailed information about hotel amenities, operational hours, and local attractions. Additionally, the role involves liaising with relevant departments like Bellperson and Housekeeping to effectively resolve guest issues.

Daily Operations

Responsibilities include reviewing shift logs and daily memos, ensuring outstanding requests from the prior day are prioritized and resolved, and overseeing the club lounge area for guest seating availability, service quality, safety, and overall guest welfare.

Team Leadership and Standards

The assistant acts as a role model and mentor within the department, enforcing compliance with company policies and external regulations. They are tasked with reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions, completing required safety training, and maintaining professionalism in appearance and conduct while safeguarding company assets and confidential information.

Guest Interaction

Welcoming guests as per company hospitality standards, anticipating and fulfilling their service needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation upon guest departures are key responsibilities. Communication is expected to be clear and polite, and phone etiquette must be professional.

Workplace Dynamics

Building and sustaining positive relationships within the team, supporting group objectives, and effectively addressing employee concerns are essential. Compliance with established quality assurance standards is mandatory.

Physical Requirements and Additional Duties

The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for prolonged periods, and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is necessary.
• No specific licenses or certifications are mandated.
