Role Summary

As the Assistant Branch Manager, you will report directly to the Branch Manager and serve as their right-hand on the shop floor. Your role involves implementing new strategies within the branch, acting as a key liaison for both customers and team members, and consistently maintaining high standards of customer service to ensure customers find the best products suited to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to boost sales and elevate store performance.
  • Lead, motivate, and organize daily staff activities to foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and provide precise advice regarding product selections.
  • Handle retail and trade sales transactions accurately.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key customers and team members.
  • Ensure the branch is well-presented and complies with company standards.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safety-first culture ensuring the wellbeing of all team members.

Please note the physical nature of the role involves lifting, bending, and climbing.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in supervisory or leadership roles is essential.
  • At least two years of experience in retail or a related trade area.
  • Knowledge of automotive products is preferred; however, willingness to learn is valued.
  • Strong communication skills adaptable to all organizational levels.
  • A positive and friendly demeanor.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Working Hours

The position requires working 43.5 hours per week, specifically Sunday 9am-5pm and Monday to Friday 8am-5:30pm.
