Assistant Branch Manager

About the Role

Hynds Hornby is looking for a motivated Assistant Branch Manager to partner closely with the Branch Manager in ensuring smooth branch operations, excellent customer service, and strong team support. This position offers a valuable opportunity to develop leadership capabilities under experienced guidance within a well-established, family-owned New Zealand business operating for over 50 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in daily operations and assume managerial duties during their absence.
• Coach and train team members to enhance performance and professional growth.
• Maintain excellent customer relations by identifying and providing suitable solutions.
• Assist in achieving branch sales targets and proactively uncover additional opportunities.
• Uphold safety standards consistently and follow the company's established procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in customer service roles, preferably with some team leadership background.
• A proactive, business-focused mindset and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficiency with Outlook and Excel; familiarity with M3 software is advantageous.
• Possession of a Class 1 driver's license with F endorsement.
