Role Overview

Join Woolworths Group as an Assistant Bakery Manager, a key stepping stone towards building a rewarding career in retail. Supported by the Store Leadership Pathway, you will develop foundational leadership skills and understanding of department operations, preparing you for further growth within the organization. You'll play an essential role in daily department management and collaborate across the store to maintain a welcoming shopping atmosphere and a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a friendly and inclusive team environment that promotes individual expression while ensuring high-quality service to customers.
  • Support leadership duties by assisting in department operations and providing guidance to team members.
  • Ensure the department adheres to safety protocols to protect both staff and customers.
  • Collaborate with store colleagues to enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Act as a role model by consistently applying Everyday ACTs: acknowledge, care, and thank customers.

  • A strong willingness to learn department-specific functions and support the team effectively daily.
  • Demonstrable ability to work cooperatively with others to achieve shared goals.

Work Schedule

  • Roster option: Monday to Sunday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexibility to work a four-day week to balance personal and professional life.
