Role Overview
The College of Business invites applications for the role of Assistant or Associate Professor specializing in Strategy and Marketing. The appointee will report directly to the Department Head and be responsible for creating, delivering, and assessing a wide range of courses in Strategy and Strategic Marketing. Duties include monitoring student performance, managing academic resources, collaborating with industry and other educational bodies, participating in advisory committees, and coordinating projects related to their academic area. Maintaining comprehensive course documentation for accreditation purposes and engaging in continuous instructional development are also expected. Moreover, faculty members are encouraged to contribute actively to the college’s academic and community endeavors.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants will be ranked based on their academic credentials and professional experience.
Education
- A PhD in Strategy, Marketing, or related disciplines from an internationally accredited university.
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
Assistant Professor Experience
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in post-secondary education, adult training, or industry-related educational settings.
- Preferably 3 years of professional experience in digital marketing or a related sector.
- A strong research portfolio with publications in high-impact journals internationally.
- Proven leadership in mentoring top-tier research students and fostering partnerships with industry and professional bodies.
Associate Professor Experience
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in relevant educational environments.
- At least 3 years’ practical experience in digital marketing or allied fields preferred.
- Distinguished research record with notable publications and successful supervision of graduate students.
- Demonstrated capacity for leadership in engaging with profession and industry stakeholders.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Post-secondary or vocational education diploma is advantageous.
- More than 6 years’ professional experience within the relevant discipline.
- Experience leading innovative, technology-driven projects.
- Teaching background in adult and industry training contexts.
Additional Skills and Expectations
- Strong dedication to applied and experiential pedagogies supporting active and authentic learning.
- Expertise in designing and evaluating assessments and courses that integrate technologies and resource-based learning to develop relevant skills and attitudes aligned with program goals.
