Position Summary

Become an integral member of one of Canada’s foremost Asset Protection teams. Use your attention to detail, commitment to justice, and proactive mindset to protect people, property, and our reputation. This front-line retail security role requires vigilance, professionalism, and decisive action to ensure a safe environment and prevent theft and fraud across busy grocery and pharmacy settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible professional presence in stores to prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations.
• Safely and lawfully detain individuals suspected of offenses, strictly adhering to company policies and legal standards.
• Conduct thorough investigations internally and externally, collect and evaluate evidence, and coordinate with police when necessary.
• Collaborate with store leadership to analyze loss patterns and implement strategies to minimize shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, security protocols, and provincial laws.
• Adapt to a fast-changing work environment with a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a valid Provincial Security Guard License and knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and other related statutes.
• Experience using CCTV systems, surveillance equipment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Exhibit a confident, approachable demeanor paired with strong communication skills.
• Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a proactive approach towards resolving issues.
• Background in grocery, pharmacy, or other busy retail sectors is advantageous.

Compensation
