Core Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to actively deter theft, fraud, and breaches of company policy.
• Lawfully and safely detain offenders while strictly following company and legal protocols.
• Conduct thorough investigations by collecting and analyzing evidence and cooperating with law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify loss patterns and implement targeted prevention measures.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, security procedures, and relevant provincial laws.
• Adapt to fast-paced retail settings, managing a flexible schedule to address emerging challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a valid Provincial Security Guard License and knowledge of Canadian legal frameworks including the Criminal Code and Trespass to Property Act.
• Experience using CCTV surveillance systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a confident, approachable demeanor and excellent communication abilities.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving.
• Previous exposure to grocery, pharmacy, or fast-paced retail environments is advantageous.
