Currently, Shoppers Drug Mart in Etobicoke at Royal York is seeking a full-time Asset Protection Representative. This key position involves protecting people, property, and the business by preventing theft and fraud in busy grocery and pharmacy environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence in-store to prevent theft, fraud, and policy breaches.
• Confidently and lawfully detain offenders following company and legal protocols.
• Carry out thorough investigations, collect and analyze evidence, and coordinate with law enforcement when needed.
• Collaborate with store management to identify shrinkage trends and implement loss prevention tactics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and provincial laws.
• Adapt to a fast-paced work environment and flexible schedule, maintaining agility in facing challenges.

Requirements

• Holds a valid Provincial Security Guard License and has knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related regulations.
• Experience using CCTV, surveillance equipment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exhibits an approachable, confident, and respectful demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and a proactive mindset toward solving problems.
• Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail settings is advantageous.

Compensation

The hourly wage starts at $21.00 and may vary based on experience, knowledge, and location.
