Job description
Role Overview
The Asset Protection Associate contributes significantly to maintaining a secure, safe, and professional store atmosphere for customers, staff, visitors, and vendors alike. By adhering to Asset Protection protocols and exhibiting respectful and professional conduct, this role is vital in preventing financial and physical losses, minimizing shrinkage, and supporting the store’s profitability. Awareness, vigilant observation, and cooperative teamwork are central to protecting people, merchandise, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Key Duties
- Perform routine store patrols daily to sustain a safe and secure environment, verifying operational security features such as doors and showcases, addressing issues promptly.
- Conduct investigations into incidents of financial and physical shrinkage, reporting findings to Store Leadership and escalating internal theft concerns to the Market Loss Prevention Manager per company protocols. Support inquiries related to internal and external theft, organized retail crime, and ethical concerns assigned through corporate ethics channels.
- Assist in emergency procedures including store evacuations during fires or other critical events and contribute to store operational support through task team assignments.
- Execute external apprehensions following company policies and legal guidelines when necessary.
- Collect and communicate relevant information effectively from various sources, providing clear explanations and perspectives to leadership and stakeholders.
- Carry out other duties as assigned to meet evolving business and Asset Protection needs.
- Maintain flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with business demands.
Challenges
- Manage high volumes of tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment, including overnight shifts requiring good planning and energy management.
- Meet physical demands involving extended standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs, as well as performing repeated tasks like stocking and zoning with precision to uphold store standards.

Compensation
The starting wage for this role is $19.35 per hour.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Possess a valid Security Guard License.
