SPARK Logistics is seeking a meticulous and organized Asset Controller to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in asset management, facilities management, or engineering support, aiming to contribute to the efficient management and oversight of company assets.

Role Overview

The Asset Controller is charged with the upkeep of precise asset records, managing asset movements, performing regular physical asset checks, and assisting with asset documentation and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the asset register, ensuring each asset is accurately classified, tagged, and logged.
• Carry out routine physical verifications of assets and reconcile these with the asset management system records.
• Monitor and record all asset movements including transfers, allocations, and disposals.
• Manage asset documentation such as manuals, warranties, certificates, and maintenance logs.
• Liaise with various departments to ensure asset information is current and complete.
• Compile comprehensive reports on inventory and asset status.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes and ensure adherence to company asset management policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Business, Logistics, or related discipline is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Possess 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in asset management, facilities management, or engineering support roles.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Excellent organizational capabilities and record-keeping skills.
• Experience with asset tracking software and proficient use of MS Excel.
• Understanding of procurement and inventory management procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail along with a strong focus on compliance.

Preferred Certifications

Certificates such as IAM Asset Management, CAMA, SAP PM or IBM Maximo training, and awareness of ISO 55001 standards are advantageous.
