Assessment Specialist

Role Overview

We seek an Assessment Specialist to develop, validate, and refine assessments for our educational programs, ensuring that each evaluation accurately measures intended learning goals. This position integrates psychometric principles with content expertise to produce reliable and valid assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create assessment items, scoring rubrics, and guides that correlate with defined learning outcomes.
• Perform item analyses, conduct reliability assessments, and oversee validation research.
• Manage item banks and maintain comprehensive assessment blueprints.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to review items and ensure alignment with content standards.
• Provide training for scorers and maintain consistency through inter-rater reliability monitoring for rubric-based evaluations.
• Document methodologies related to psychometric testing and assessment design choices.

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in assessment design, psychometrics, or educational measurement.
• Deep knowledge of assessment validity, reliability, and item statistical analysis.
• Proficiency with statistical software such as R, SPSS, and Excel.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills.
• Master's degree preferred in fields related to measurement, psychometrics, or education.
• Experience using assessment platforms and item banking software.
