Role Summary
The Assembler will work individually and collaboratively to assemble products precisely according to specifications and technical drawings, utilizing diverse hand tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently perform assembly tasks safely and efficiently across a variety of products and components to finalize products for customer delivery.
- Accurately position parts based on knowledge of the assembly unit and interpret work orders, blueprints, and measurements to customize assembly as required.
- Secure parts using bolts, screws, rivets, speed clips, and other fasteners with hand and portable power tools.
- Perform minor metal shaping using hand files and scrapers to ensure parts fit closely.
- Function as a specialist in one assembly area or rotate among different areas responding to customer or shop needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Capability to read and comprehend straightforward instructions, correspondence, and memos; able to produce simple written communications.
- Effective verbal communication in one-on-one settings with supervisors and coworkers.
- Mathematical skills encompassing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and utilize tape measures accurately.
