Role Summary

The Assembler position involves both team collaboration and independent work to construct products in adherence to detailed specifications and engineering drawings, utilizing various hand tools.

Key Duties

• Assemble components precisely following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), and engineering blueprints.
• Utilize department hand tools effectively during assembly processes.
• Inspect finished parts and assemblies to confirm accuracy against technical drawings and bill of materials (BOMs).
• Conduct functional tests such as air or mechanical pressure tests to validate product performance.
• Identify and suggest improvements to boost quality and productivity continuously.
• Report fabrication challenges and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
• Operate overhead and jib cranes where applicable.
• Work safely in confined spaces and at heights, employing fall arrest systems if required.
• Gain cross-training experience in Powder Coating and Blasting when applicable.
• Perform quality assurance checks and maintain calibration and preventive maintenance for machines and tools.
• Follow Kanban card systems and job orders properly when applicable.
• Support company continuous improvement initiatives and embrace organizational changes with a positive outlook.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and meet production deadlines while keeping up with demand.
• Perform Touch Quality Checks (TQCs) regularly and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Execute any additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

• Capable of standing for extended periods while handling heavy loads.
• Skillful in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Competent in using a tape measure and performing basic math operations like addition and subtraction.
• Proficient in English reading, writing, and comprehension.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately.
• Exemplary attendance and reliability.
• Certification or ability to operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts where applicable.
