Assembler - Day Shift

Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time day-shift Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Erlanger, KY (Cincinnati metro area). This position involves manually assembling specialized electrical resistors by connecting wires, mounting components into metal housings, and adhering strictly to engineering drawings and quality standards. The role requires collaboration with fellow assemblers and reporting to the Small Assembly Supervisor. No previous electrical expertise is necessary as training will be provided, but comfort with hand tools and the ability to follow detailed procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually assemble electrical resistor units by wiring, affixing ceramic parts, and integrating metal elements in line with work instructions and drawings.
• Secure resistor components into metal boxes and enclosures using hand and power tools as well as specialized machinery.
• Inspect assembled products continuously to ensure they meet strict quality criteria and verify measurements and connections.
• Perform rework or repairs on units not meeting specifications when assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation throughout the shift.
• Accurately complete production documentation and timekeeping for all tasks.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including consistent use of required personal protective equipment on the shop floor.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficiency and comfort in using hand tools; readiness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and basic engineering drawings.
• Dependable attendance and a collaborative, positive attitude.
• Physical ability to stand for long durations, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Benefits and Work Schedule

• Starting wage of $20.50 per hour with a $0.50 hourly raise after 90 days.
• Work schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (10-hour workdays) with Fridays off, though occasional Friday overtime may be required.
