Position Overview
A UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy in the Midlands region is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Asbestos Site Analyst. This role involves working mainly across domestic and local authority buildings while ensuring compliance and excellent customer service. The successful applicant will communicate technical details clearly to clients and liaise with third parties onsite. Attractive salary packages ranging from £26,000 to £40,000 plus benefits and training are offered.
Work Locations
Work will occur at various sites including Nottingham, Derby, Beeston, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Burton upon Trent, Leicester, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Rugeley, Lichfield, Cannock, Stafford, Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, Kidderminster, Telford, Stoke-on-Trent, Droitwich Spa, Worcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Northampton, Daventry, and Rugby.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct four-stage clearances in both domestic and local authority premises.
- Perform comprehensive monitoring activities such as personal, smoke, leak, background, and reassurance monitoring.
- Collect asbestos-containing material (ACM) samples and carry out onsite fiber counting.
- Calibrate asbestos analysis equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Generate detailed technical reports based on findings.
- Communicate with onsite operatives to ensure work adheres to safety protocols.
- Consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Meet agreed project deadlines and schedules.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as an Asbestos Site Analyst in a UKAS accredited environment.
- Possession of BOHS P403 and P404 certifications or equivalent RSPH qualifications.
- Strong familiarity with UKAS accreditation processes and HSG 248 regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in literacy, numeracy, and IT including report writing.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel as required by client assignments.
