Jainim Consulting Inc is a small accounting firm located in Alberta, Canada. We provide a full range of financial, bookkeeping, and tax services for small and medium-sized enterprises. Our agile team of five to six professionals focuses on using modern technologies to remove operational delays and improve workflow efficiency.

Role Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial AI & Automation Intern who will work closely with our leadership team to spot manual inefficiencies in our professional service processes and implement effective, time-saving technological solutions. The internship duration is flexible between three to six months.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and suggest automation opportunities to improve overall firm productivity.
• Develop intelligent document processing workflows to extract structured data from unstructured financial documents such as bank statements, vendor invoices, and tax records.
• Create well-structured Python scripts and pipelines to integrate various accounting tools, spreadsheets, and internal databases using technologies like Flask and SQLite.
• Utilize Large Language Model (LLM) APIs to facilitate tasks such as report summarization, data verification, and workflow management.

Candidate Profile

• Pursuing or having a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BCA, MCA, or related areas; self-taught programmers with solid portfolios are also welcome.
• Practical experience with Python programming, REST API integration, and data extraction methods.
• Availability to align working hours with Canadian Mountain Standard Time (MST), particularly mornings and evenings MST, to participate in team meetings and project discussions.
• Applicants are encouraged, though not required, to submit a brief example (2 sentences) of an automation script they have developed prior when applying.

Interview Process

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a brief 15-minute interview conducted via MS Teams. Flexibility in interview timing is requested to accommodate MST working hours.
