Architectural Technologist

About the Role

An established architectural practice in central Sheffield seeks to add a skilled Architectural Technologist or Technician to their team due to increasing project demands. This role offers the chance to engage with projects in retail, commercial, and residential sectors at various design and delivery phases.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects covering retail, commercial, and residential properties concurrently.
• Provide support from initial concept designs through to project completion and delivery.
• Create technical drawings and detailed design documentation.
• Collaborate closely with team members, clients, and external consultants.
• Utilize leading industry software to develop and visualize architectural ideas.

Requirements

• Possess between two to four years of experience as an architectural technologist or technician.
• Demonstrate proficiency in projects across various development stages.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD are essential for this position.
• Experience with REVIT is advantageous.
• Competence using SketchUp and/or Enscape for 3D visualisations.
• Familiarity with NBS and Microsoft Office software packages.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence and be open to travel as necessary.

Working Conditions

• Position is based centrally in Sheffield.
• Work schedule requires a minimum of four days per week at the office.
• An initial 3–4 week full-time office induction and training period to support rapid integration.
