Architect

Role Overview

An Architect will be responsible for crafting architectural designs, generating technical drawings, and delivering practical design solutions while collaborating closely with clients, consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create architectural concepts, layouts, plans, elevations, and detailed drawings.
• Develop technical drawings, specifications, and comprehensive project documentation.
• Interpret client needs into viable architectural designs.
• Coordinate design efforts across structural, civil, and MEP disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections and design assessments to verify compliance and accuracy.
• Review shop drawings, materials proposed, and technical submissions thoroughly.
• Ensure all designs meet building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and governing authorities.
• Identify and resolve any design conflicts or technical challenges encountered.
• Oversee the construction process to confirm adherence to approved designs and drawings.
• Provide support for requests for information (RFIs), design changes, and site-related issues.
• Assist in preparation and submission of documents for permits and approvals from authorities.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and other documentation related to design and project status.
• Contribute to value engineering efforts for cost-effective design solutions.
• Maintain high standards for design quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in architectural design, construction, or consultancy roles.
• Solid understanding of architectural concepts, materials, and detailing principles.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or equivalent design software.
• Experience in preparing technical and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulatory authority requirements.
• Strong skills in multidisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent creativity, technical problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other documentation tools.
• Experience working within the UAE or GCC architectural market is a plus.
• Professionalism, organization, reliability, and proactive work ethics.
