About the Role
Pastel Design Studio's branch, SCAI – Studio of Contemporary Architecture & Interior Design in Kolkata, is searching for a passionate Architect focused on detail and creativity. The role engages in thoughtfully designing contemporary spaces that optimize function, materiality, and aesthetic appeal, spanning architectural, interior, and spatial design.
Key Responsibilities
- Create architectural and interior design concepts from inception.
- Develop detailed design presentations, drawings, and working documentation.
- Plan spaces, specify materials, and refine detailing.
- Design furniture, lighting, and detailed interior elements.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, specifications, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, vendors, and construction contractors.
- Conduct site visits to observe and ensure proper project execution.
- Maintain design intent and quality through all project phases.
- Contribute to the studio’s ongoing design language and projects with creative input.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification.
- Possesses 1 to 4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Has a strong foundation in architectural and interior design principles.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite tools.
- Experience with 3D visualization or rendering software is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of materials, finishes, and construction detailing.
- Demonstrates keen design sensibility and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively in teams.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Eager to learn, innovate, and take responsibility for assigned work.

Location and Application
This full-time role is located onsite in Kolkata, West Bengal.
