Applications & DevOps Consultant

Role Overview

The Applications & DevOps Consultant is responsible for overseeing after-sales processes by proactively evaluating solution requirements as customer needs evolve. This role involves designing, planning, and implementing solutions either on-premises or in the cloud to facilitate migration, and analyzing current on-premises setups to offer effective customer solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and manage proof of concepts (POC) and requests for proposals (RFP), driving these engagements from both a presales and implementation standpoint to close opportunities.
• Assist customers in designing scalable and highly available application solutions utilizing Microsoft services.
• Serve as a technical advisor collaborating closely with customer business, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Function as both an infrastructure and application development expert.
• Implement DevOps methodologies including infrastructure setup, continuous integration, and automated deployment processes.
• Participate actively in design, development, evaluation, and testing phases of Application and Data Modernization projects.
• Ensure data storage and processing operations comply with company security protocols and adopt best practices in cloud security.
• Provide in-depth expertise in software architecture related to cloud design patterns and architecture principles.
• Identify and troubleshoot infrastructure vulnerabilities and issues related to application deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering and development groups to assess and select optimal cloud solutions.
• Develop and execute a strategic plan to modernize applications and transition them to the Azure platform.
• Utilize Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Policy, Blueprints, and other deployment pipeline technologies for implementation of new Azure solutions.
• Contribute to research and development initiatives internally and actively participate in the wider technical community.
• Strictly adhere to the New Signature and client information security policies ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Continuously update technical skills to provide high-level technical consulting for potential customers.
• Lead technical discussions during sales processes.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Possess a minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
