Role Overview
The Application Specialist will oversee the lifecycle of IS Robotics applications, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and alignment with business needs. The role reports to the Regional IS Manager APAC for ABB Robotics - India and focuses on managing CRM, ERP, and other enterprise applications. The position demands a hands-on approach to application security, compliance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the IS Robotics application portfolio across design, development, deployment, support, and refinement phases.
- Guarantee high availability and performance of CRM, ERP, and related applications by proactively monitoring and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead incident, problem, and change management processes adhering to ITIL standards to minimize operational disruptions.
- Drive modernization initiatives including automation and process optimization to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, or similar fields.
- 10-12 years of experience in supporting and managing enterprise IT applications, including CRM and ERP systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of application architecture, integration, design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Workday, Microsoft Azure, VMware, and comparable technologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to address complex technical challenges.
- Experience working with diverse global teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Well-versed in ITIL frameworks, including incident, change, and service management.
- Hands-on expertise in automation and scripting tools like PowerShell, Python, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with virtualization, cloud infrastructures, and related technologies is beneficial.
