Job Overview
This role involves the administration and development of API management solutions based on the Apigee platform. The position is based in Hyderabad with a work-from-office policy and requires virtual interviews.
Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, update, and maintain the Apigee infrastructure environment effectively.
- Design and implement API gateway solutions using Apigee platforms.
- Execute API deployments and integrations on the Apigee API management platform.
- Develop automated scripts for task automation using Ansible and Python.
- Run Disaster Recovery (DR) drills to prepare the team for emergency situations.
- Use Apigee Edge UI to deploy APIs, support ongoing API operations, and resolve incidents.
- Maintain Apigee system infrastructure, handle alerts through Remedy, deploy APIs, and investigate operational issues.
- Upgrade Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers for Apigee and rebuild both on-premises and cloud servers with the latest Apigee version.
- Manage migration of existing APIs to new server environments ensuring operational continuity.
- Configure traffic routing to disaster recovery servers ensuring high availability.
- Coordinate effectively between offshore and onsite teams.
- Support API developer portal operations and onboard new API consumers.
Required Skills and Experience
- 6 to 10 years of professional experience in Apigee platform administration and API gateway management.
- Proficient in API implementation, integration, and deployment using Apigee.
- Hands-on experience scripting automation with Ansible and Python.
- Strong expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, including system upgrades and server rebuilds.
- Working knowledge of Microservice Architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of Agile API methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
