Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer proficient in Java and Spring Boot to design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications. This role involves building secure, efficient, and scalable REST APIs and reactive services while ensuring adherence to secure coding standards across environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement microservices applications using Java (OpenJDK 21/Java 17+) and Spring Boot framework.
- Create secure, scalable RESTful APIs and reactive services leveraging Spring WebFlux.
- Apply secure coding principles including API security, access control, input validation, and data masking as per OWASP guidelines.
- Engage in unit testing, test-driven development (TDD), code reviews, and quality assurance practices utilizing tools like JUnit and Mockito.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across development, testing, and production deployments.
- Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Architecture teams for integrated solution delivery.
- Contribute to architectural design discussions and technical decisions.
- Support frontend integration and participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Technologies
- Strong expertise in Java (OpenJDK 21/Java 17+) and Spring Boot.
- Experience in reactive programming with Spring WebFlux.
- Deep understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
- Proficiency in security technologies including Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, and application of OWASP Top 10 practices.
- Familiarity with Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA).
- Hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB.
- Version control with Git and containerization using Docker.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.
- Practiced in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Understanding of financial services or fintech industry, including workflows involving authentication, KYC, payments, transactions, and statements.
- Frontend technologies: Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, CSS3, with frameworks like Angular Material, Tailwind CSS, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway, and service discovery mechanisms.
- Message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Security scanning and monitoring tools including SonarQube, Snyk, Fortify, and Checkmarx.
- Knowledge of frontend security concepts including CORS, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), and Content Security Policy (CSP).
- Experience implementing cloud-native solutions and DevSecOps best practices.
