Job Overview

This role requires conducting charge capture and reconciliation audits along with evaluating revenue cycle data to spot billing errors and overlooked charges. The candidate will assist in maintaining and verifying the Chargemaster database and perform regular audits to ensure charges and coding are accurate.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out charge capture audits and reconciliation reviews to ensure billing accuracy.
• Analyze revenue cycle information to detect discrepancies and missed charges promptly.
• Support the upkeep and validation of Chargemaster (CDM) data and activities.
• Conduct periodic reviews to confirm correct coding and billing procedures.
• Develop revenue integrity reports, including dashboards and key performance indicator analyses.
• Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, regulations, and internal policies.
• Contribute to revenue cycle process enhancement projects and initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with clinical, financial, coding, and billing departments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Health Information Management, Accounting, or a similar field.
• Preferred certifications include CPC, CCS, RHIT, or equivalent credentials.
• Have between 2 to 4 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, billing, coding, or finance.
• Well-versed in healthcare reimbursement methods and frameworks.
• Familiar with CPT, HCPCS, DRG, and revenue coding systems.
• Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in report generation.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and healthcare-specific information systems.
