Iron Making Field Operator

Job Summary

Join Madre Integrated Engineering as an Iron Making Field Operator based in Doha, Qatar, where you'll be instrumental in operating and overseeing the Direct Reduction Plant's equipment and processes. Comprehensive training will be provided to familiarize you with the role.

Key Duties

• Operate and monitor field equipment and Direct Reduction Plant processes with precision and adherence to guidelines.
• Conduct regular inspections and checks of plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Perform periodic visual assessments of product and oxide material quality under supervision.
• Carry out scheduled inspections of the product storage yard to maintain standards.
• Respond swiftly to any plant malfunctions or unusual conditions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain strict compliance with safety rules, procedures, and best practices at all times.
• Be available for overtime shifts, standby periods, and emergency call-outs as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Technical Diploma or Higher Secondary Education from a recognized regular college or university.
• Have at least three years of experience in a similar operational capacity; prior involvement in the manufacturing or steel sectors is advantageous.
• Demonstrate specific familiarity and understanding of equipment and process operations within a Direct Reduction Plant.
• Know equipment operation parameters and control mechanisms thoroughly.
• Understand and practice safety procedures and operational standards rigorously.
• Preferably, hold knowledge in Direct Reduction (DR) chemistry or possess a mechanical diploma.
• Exhibit basic proficiency in computer use.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English; proficiency in spoken Hindi is also required.
