Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at a construction site in Doha, Qatar. The role requires enforcing compliance with company and client safety standards to ensure a secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise HSE protocols aligned with organizational and client requirements.
- Perform routine safety audits, facilitate toolbox meetings, carry out risk evaluations, and observe site activities for safety compliance.
- Ensure that all personnel adhere to use of personal protective equipment (PPE), permit-to-work procedures, and maintain safe workmanship.
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, and near-misses; collaborate on remedial measures.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience within the construction sector.
- NEBOSH certification is compulsory, with a validity of 5 years.
- Proficient understanding of HSE processes, risk management practices, and permit-to-work systems.
- Sound knowledge of construction safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
