Airside Ramp Agent - Full Time

About the Role

Based at Dublin Airport, this full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week with a roster pattern of 4 days on followed by 2 days off. As an Airside Ramp Agent, you will contribute significantly to ensuring aircraft are efficiently turned around, prioritizing safety and timeliness. You'll be actively engaged in hands-on tasks and collaborate closely with a team at the core of airport operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle loading and unloading of passenger baggage and cargo.
• Drive and manage various airside vehicles and equipment, with training provided.
• Guide aircraft safely onto the designated stand and maintain secure working spaces around the aircraft.
• Collaborate effectively within a tight-knit ramp team.
• Adhere strictly to all safety and security protocols.
• Perform outdoor duties in varied weather conditions, equipped with full personal protective equipment (PPE).

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a full, valid EU manual driving licence, which is crucial for operating airside vehicles.
• Physically fit and comfortable engaging in active, physically demanding work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness and ability to work across early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays on a rotating shift basis.
• Capability to successfully pass mandatory background verifications, including a 5-year employment check, Garda vetting, and airside security clearance.

Working Hours and Shifts

Onboarding and Security Clearance

• All candidates must undergo comprehensive security clearance involving a 5-year employment and background verification.
• Completion of Garda vetting is mandatory.
• Obtainment of airport ID clearance is required before commencing duties.

This entire clearance process generally requires approximately 10 weeks, during which support and updates will be provided to applicants.
