Air Freight Specialist SBC/MNC

About the Role

DHL Global Forwarding, a division specializing in air, ocean, and road freight, seeks an Air Freight Specialist SBC/MNC based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing shipment execution activities and serving as the main contact point for customers, ensuring seamless air freight service delivery aligned with company standards and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee shipment activities from receipt of customer booking to the completion of both local and international transportation requirements.
• Serve as the primary customer liaison for shipment updates, exception handling, complaint resolution, and claims management.
• Coordinate shipment routing and allocations to meet customer service commitments while maximizing profitability; prepare accurate billing and address invoice disputes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance related to commodities and shipment destinations.
• Maintain strong business relationships with clients, identify sales opportunities, perform customer visits, and work towards customer retention.
• Analyze and resolve operational challenges in daily delivery processes to enhance efficiency using transportation management systems.
• Manage performance issues with suppliers, recommending actions to improve service quality.
• Advocate for process improvements and share best practices to increase operational effectiveness.
• Provide guidance or training to junior colleagues when necessary.
• Contribute suggestions and identify issues proactively in process improvement discussions.
• Create and manage transport orders and bookings efficiently.
• Prepare and supervise import/export documentation.
• Update customs shipment information, monitor shipment status, and address customer concerns regarding incidents.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification/experience is required.
• Less than 2 years of relevant professional experience.
