AI Senior Developer - Digital and Intelligence Service

About The Role

You will oversee a team of Artificial Intelligence developers tasked with creating priority AI products at the SAF Artificial Intelligence Centre (SAIC), a unit focused on addressing operational data science challenges and advancing defense capabilities through cutting-edge AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate AI developer teams involved in product development
• Provide on-site assistance to relevant organizational units as needed
• Foster and sustain partnerships with internal and external collaborators in AI
• Continuously monitor latest advancements in AI and Machine Learning technologies
• Identify, initiate, and drive valuable engineering initiatives throughout the SAF
• Oversee effective deployment of AI and ML tools within the Singapore Armed Forces

Challenges To Manage

• Maintain extensive knowledge of AI/ML concepts and languages such as Python
• Apply expertise with complex data structures and algorithm design
• Keep abreast of fast-evolving AI and ML technology trends
• Develop deep insights into military applications and implications of AI/ML

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational background in quantitative, scientific, or technological disciplines like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Analytics
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
• Thorough understanding of AI/ML techniques including supervised, unsupervised learning, neural networks, and deep learning
• Hands-on proficiency with contemporary AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Strong leadership capabilities, effective planning, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under pressure
