AI Product Engineer (Fullstack)

Technical Environment

Our system spans multiple layers: Angular and React web frontends, a native iOS app, a Node/TypeScript application server managing booking and matching logic, and a fleet of microservices deployed on Kubernetes, including backend services in Node.js, Go, and a legacy Hack/HHVM codebase currently being deprecated. Additional components include a real-time communication layer, a ledger processing actual payouts, scraper services handling protected platforms, and a growing AWS serverless infrastructure.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a native iOS application using SwiftUI.
• Support and enhance Angular-based marketplace web apps and React-built internal tools.
• Contribute to the Node/TypeScript application server handling scheduling, invoicing, and document generation.
• Work across polyglot microservices including legacy and modern services within Kubernetes environments.
• Engage with the CI/CD workflow using GitLab CI and Helm for container builds and release management.
• Manage scheduled workloads such as CronJobs for tasks like reminders, payout checks, and media polling with independent scheduling capability.
• Collaborate on the ledger service ensuring accurate financial transactions and payouts.
• Maintain and improve scraper services that navigate anti-bot measures on third-party platforms.
• Participate in evolving our AWS/serverless edge internal tools and integrations with Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Leverage AI-powered tools comprehensively to accelerate understanding and productivity across unfamiliar codebases and services, while critically validating AI-generated suggestions to uphold quality.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working with distributed systems rather than monolithic architectures.
• Adept at diagnosing issues across full technology stacks from user interfaces through backend services.
• Comfortable onboarding and contributing to legacy and unfamiliar codebases using AI assistance combined with personal judgment.
• Practices honesty about uncertainties and prefers examining logs or data to assumptions or guesses.
• No previous experience required with Hack or R languages, with both being phased out in favor of modern tools.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows is essential rather than purely manual coding approaches.
