About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AI Developer to join PartSpace GmbH, a company revolutionizing industrial value creation through innovative AI technology. Based in Nuremberg with a strong AI unit, you will work on cutting-edge projects involving Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and production-ready software solutions that transform how technical drawings are interpreted and utilized.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the scalability, maintainability, and reliability of our entire software pipeline.
- Develop and enhance productive software systems.
- Participate in architectural and design decisions, delivering clean, future-proof technical solutions.
- Design, train, and integrate machine learning models for practical applications including APIs, pipelines, and services.
- Work with computer vision tasks related to documents, images, layout analysis, and OCR-related topics, as well as graph neural networks for complex structures.
- Evaluate and pragmatically apply advanced machine learning techniques including classical ML, deep learning, and multimodal foundation models.
- Collaborate closely with product and business teams to transform requirements into practical AI solutions.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Mathematics, or equivalent education.
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer handling complex projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Python development; knowledge of C++ is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with machine learning models and algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised learning, and deep learning.
- Experience or willingness to deepen expertise in computer vision with good understanding of multimodal approaches combining text and image data.
- Preferably familiar with OCR, document processing, or layout analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to structure and integrate complex technical topics into production-ready solutions.
- Highly motivated, structured, and consistent with delivery ownership.
- Good teamwork skills and clear, solutions-focused communication.
- Work authorization for Germany required.
- Language proficiency: German - negotiation level (C2), English - fluent (C1).
