Position Summary

We are looking for meticulous AI Annotators, both fresh graduates and those with experience, to contribute to an AI speech recognition dataset project. The role involves carefully listening to telephonic audio recordings composed of Hindi, English, and Hindi-English code-mixed conversations and producing precise transcripts suitable for training AI models. Candidates must demonstrate a solid grasp of Hindi and Devanagari script, a sharp ear, uncompromising adherence to transcription protocols, and a strict commitment to maintaining data confidentiality.

• Location: Udupi, Karnataka (strictly on-site; no relocation assistance)
• Shift: Rotational shifts based on project needs
• Work hours: Candidates must be ready to work morning or evening shifts and provide their own transport

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe assigned telephonic audio verbatim without alterations such as translation, grammar correction, or guessing unclear words.
• Handle transcription of mixed-language speech involving Hindi, English, and code-mixed content, preserving original word order, repetitions, and fillers.
• Correctly write Hindi words, Indian proper nouns, and loanwords of Hindi origin using Devanagari script; apply English orthographic rules including casing, abbreviations, numerals, and punctuation.
• Generate and review time-stamped transcripts at segment level using designated transcription software, ensuring output in required SRT formats.
• Conduct self-audits of work quality, report unclear or poor audio segments for further evaluation, implement feedback effectively, assist in rework tasks, and uphold strict confidentiality of all audio and transcripts.
• Achieve assigned productivity benchmarks while sustaining at least 97% transcription accuracy and adhering to project standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Graduation in any field with proficient Hindi reading and writing competence.
• Experience: Fresh graduates welcomed; preference for candidates with background in transcription, annotation, data processing, or quality assessment.
• Linguistic Skills: Exceptional command over spoken and written Hindi, accurate Devanagari spelling skills, and ability to comprehend Hindi-English code-mixed conversations. Basic English proficiency required.
• Technical Skills: Comfortable with computers, Hindi and English typing, and quick learning of web-based transcription and annotation software.
• Personal Qualities: Sharp listening skills, excellent attention to detail, patience, uniformity in output, and capability to follow nuanced linguistic and quality protocols.
