Job description

Company Overview

Binance is a premier global blockchain ecosystem, operating the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange based on trading volume and registered users. Trusted by over 300 million people across more than 100 countries, Binance leads through top-tier security, transparency of user funds, ultra-fast trading engines, deep liquidity, and a broad portfolio of digital asset products. Its offerings span trading, finance, education, research, payments, institutional services, and Web3 features. The company aims to harness digital assets and blockchain technology to foster an inclusive financial ecosystem that promotes financial freedom and expanded access worldwide.

Role Overview

This role will be central to building one of the largest internal AI agent fleets, comprising hundreds of sandboxed agents that drive automation in areas like trading, compliance, customer service, and risk management. You will focus on constructing the core infrastructure and tools that empower each agent to be faster, smarter, and more effective, thereby boosting operational efficiency and driving business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design, publish, and sustain OpenClaw skills—modular functional units utilized by numerous agents to automate routine processes and unlock novel business opportunities.
  • Create CLI tools to support agent operations such as deployment, diagnostics, session control, skill management, and developer workflows.
  • Lead end-to-end engineering of AI agent harnesses, managing lifecycle, tool executions, context and session tuning, compaction techniques, and model routing.
  • Develop data pipelines and dashboards to monitor the agent fleet, applying data science to analyze token usage efficiency, system failure patterns, latency variations, and correlations with business outcomes.
  • Detect and rectify platform bottlenecks to improve throughput, response quality, and cost-effectiveness, directly impacting user growth and retention.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research, publications, open-source tools, and developments in AI agent frameworks, rapidly prototyping novel integrations.
  • Optimize Large Language Model (LLM) infrastructure, including token budgeting, routing across multiple providers, cost allocation, and managing context windows.
  • Strengthen agent sandbox security via credential isolation, defenses against prompt injection, and guardrail implementations.
  • Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to translate user growth ambitions into dependable and scalable agent workflows.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of software or platform engineering experience, with at least 2 years directly involving production deployment of LLM or AI agent systems.
  • Possess an AI-native perspective, leveraging AI-assisted development, and thinking intrinsically in terms of agent/tool/context concepts, avoiding manual approaches that AI could automate.
  • Proficient in developing modular, composable tools or CLI utilities for developer platforms, with expertise in TypeScript and/or Python.
  • Practical experience with agent orchestration runtimes such as OpenClaw, LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
  • Hands-on knowledge of LLM infrastructure including token management, model routing, context compaction, and large-scale cost optimization.
  • Data science skills to analyze logs, perform statistical profiling, use SQL and Python for usage data, and translate telemetry into actionable platform insights.
  • Strong familiarity with research on model releases, agent frameworks, and relevant literature, enabling rapid evaluation of potential integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver rapid, pragmatic code with AI-assisted workflows, maintaining a high productivity-to-noise ratio while grounded in solid engineering principles.

Preferred Skills

  • Direct experience with OpenClaw features such as session configuration, hooks, cron/heartbeat systems, and the skill registry (ClawHub).
  • Experience with CLI tools and the agent tooling ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of LiteLLM, AWS Bedrock, or multi-provider proxies.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes/EKS for pod isolation, resource tuning, and secret management.
  • Background in security engineering covering sandbox escape mitigation, prompt injection defenses, and guardrail architecture.

Why Join Binance?

  • Contribute to the future of the world's leading blockchain ecosystem.
  • Work alongside world-class talent in a globally distributed, flat organizational structure focused on users.
  • Engage with unique and fast-moving projects autonomously within an innovative environment.
