Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and continuously enhance the core backend systems supporting Social products.
• Boost system efficiency, stability, uptime, and overall technical excellence.
• Collaborate closely across product management, operations, algorithms, and client engineering teams to deeply understand objectives and launch innovative projects.
• Convert intricate business needs into robust, reusable, and scalable backend solutions.
• Refine service governance, data workflow, monitoring/alert systems, incident handling, and developer productivity.
• Identify technical constraints as the business evolves and steer mid- to long-term planning for system advancement.
• Investigate and apply a Human + AI collaborative development approach to enhance requirement analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and delivery throughput.
• Engage in design and code reviews and contribute to strengthening engineering capabilities to uphold software quality standards.

Requirements

• Strong competence in Java or Go programming languages, supported by solid software engineering principles and computer science foundations.
• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, messaging queues, caching strategies, database technologies, and service governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building large-scale systems featuring high concurrency and availability.
• Good technical insight paired with business sense, capable of balancing user experience, business impact, and technical expenses.
• Outcome-driven mindset complemented by excellent problem-solving and cross-team project execution abilities.
• Experience utilizing AI-driven coding and development tools, with capacity to seamlessly embed AI technologies in engineering workflows while ensuring quality, security, and maintainability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background with social platforms, content communities, instant messaging, recommendation engines, or user engagement growth tactics.
• Expertise in systems related to feeds, comments, social interactions, social graph structures, messaging, or real-time communication.
• Experience with global-scale internet products or systems distributed across regions.
• Familiarity with complex system architecture design, technical planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
