This position supports our specialized AI team tasked with accelerating prioritized use cases via the enterprise Agentic AI Factory framework, which includes governed agents, reusable skills, trusted data and knowledge layers, secure integration, human oversight, AgentOps, evaluation, and financial operations value management.
Position Overview
The Agent Platform Engineer plays a critical role in advancing Clorox's enterprise AI strategy by constructing a reusable foundation that facilitates rapid deployment, governance, and scaling of AI solutions across various business units. The focus is on building the agent platform, reusable skills, engineering standards, and deployment models to enable AI adoption in areas such as Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and R&D.

Candidate Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, data/AI engineering, automation, or cloud application development; a Master's or PhD degree may allow slightly less experience (5-7 years)
- At least 3 years of experience developing cloud-native applications, APIs, automation, data/AI solutions, or platform services
- Proficient hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Python, TypeScript, C#, GitHub or Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, telemetry, and secure coding practices
- Background in backend engineering including creating token-based authorization frameworks and integrating enterprise-level IAM solutions
Technical Skills
- Experience using Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform, agent orchestration, prompt/tool design, RAG systems, Azure AI Search, function apps, app services, containers, and deployment automation tools
- Strong software engineering skills in Python, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, RESTful APIs, JSON, YAML, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, automated testing, and observability
- Implementation of reusable agent skills, action connectors, approval flows, evaluation tests, and troubleshooting runtime or tool-call failures
- A product-oriented mindset with ownership, thorough documentation, agile delivery practices, and translating business requirements into effective agent capabilities
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in fields such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data/AI, Cybersecurity, Finance, Business Analytics, or relevant disciplines. Equivalent experience may be considered based on evaluation.
