About The Team
With rapid advancements in large language models (LLMs), effective AI agents require continuous hands-on refinement and technical precision to achieve enterprise-level quality. Our newly formed Agent Deployment Engineering division specializes in end-to-end AI agent deployment. Engineers in this team handle configuration, integration validation, and scaling, working closely with both customer technical leaders and internal teams to raise build quality.
Role Overview
As an Agent Deployment Engineer, you will lead the full lifecycle implementation of AI agents for key clients. This technical role involves partnering internally and externally to design, build, test, and deploy agents that drive significant business impact. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Success teams, Engineering, and Go-To-Market stakeholders to create feedback loops that enhance our platform based on customer insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire architecture and delivery of AI agent solutions including design, scoping, execution, and production rollout.
- Develop the core logical frameworks controlling agent behavior, applying engineering principles to ensure quality, reliability, and correctness despite inherent model uncertainties.
- Implement and verify multi-layered safety mechanisms and supervisory controls to maintain compliant, secure, and predictable agent actions in diverse scenarios.
- Build, integrate, and test connections with customer systems like data workflows, CRMs, and ticketing platforms, including creating necessary tools and APIs for scalable deployment.
- Engage with senior technical customer stakeholders to gather requirements, agree success criteria, and manage delivery timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve probabilistic and technical issues through detailed analysis of execution logs and model outputs.
- Design testing frameworks for behavioral validation and regression prevention.
- Create clear internal documentation and maintain close coordination with Engineering to guide platform development.
- Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, and Sales teams to ensure consistent and high-quality agent builds.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum five years’ experience in technical, customer-facing roles such as solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, or implementation leadership.
- Strong coding skills, API proficiency, and experience building or verifying integrations end-to-end.
- Track record delivering production-grade customer solutions involving structured planning, testing, and iterative improvement.
- Effective communicator capable of engaging senior technical customers and translating requirements into actionable plans.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, evolving environments where defining solutions is as important as executing them.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with LLMs or AI agents, including techniques like prompting, evaluation, guardrails, and workflow development.
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS integration, particularly ticketing, CRM, and data pipelines, with understanding of security and compliance requirements.
- Academic background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or comparable technical expertise.
- Strong product sensibility with ability to draft precise PRDs, define KPIs, and feed customer insights into product roadmaps.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary ranges from AUD 200,000 to 270,000, with equity offers included.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for you and your family.
- Life insurance and disability benefits.
- Retirement plans such as 401K or pension schemes.
- Parental leave policies.
- Fertility and family-building support through Carrot.
- Monthly wellness and lifestyle stipends.
- Daily in-office meals and snacks.
- Flexible paid vacation policy aligned with local laws (25 statutory days for UK).
