Position Overview

The AFR Operation Manager based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will oversee operational excellence and foster growth in local markets. This role is vital in managing customer satisfaction, driving service quality improvements, and leading high-performing teams to achieve strategic air freight objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the department's profit and loss (P&L) within your area of responsibility.
• Collaborate with field sales to increase market growth, ensuring high customer retention through regular engagement.
• Act as the primary or secondary escalation point for customer complaints and special requests, coordinating with internal teams for resolution.
• Drive operational excellence by monitoring feedback, enhancing service quality, and identifying process improvement opportunities using DHL's standardized performance tools.
• Ensure teams comply with global standardized processes when handling shipments.
• Manage supplier relationships to optimize service delivery and profitability.
• Develop and lead a collaborative, high-achieving team culture focused on continuous development.
• Lead supervisors and specialists aligned with the Air Freight strategic plans.
• Ensure regulatory compliance regarding shipments involving commodities and locations.
• Meet productivity targets and maintain accurate job management to maximize gross profit on each shipment file.
• Maintain and strengthen business relationships with existing clients, identify upsell possibilities, and sustain high customer retention levels.
• Evaluate supplier performance issues within air freight and recommend improvements.
• Address and resolve customer-related incidents and issues promptly.

Candidate Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• More than five years of relevant experience in air freight operations or a related field.
