Job Summary

The Senior Advisor for Strategy collaborates closely with the Director of Strategy to shape and implement the organization's long-term strategic vision and transformation initiatives. This role entails converting strategic objectives into executable projects, monitoring their progress, and ensuring cohesive coordination among various departments and external stakeholders. It involves integrating corporate strategy, business planning, and transformation execution while providing expert guidance on market structure, liquidity, and investor engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Steer the formulation and periodic update of the corporate strategy aligned with national and financial sector goals.
• Lead the annual business planning cycle, defining measurable objectives, key initiatives, and performance indicators across departments.
• Develop and monitor strategic KPIs to ensure consistency between strategy, budgeting, and execution.
• Prepare insightful materials for leadership and Board presentations on strategic progress and alternatives.
• Support the execution of transformation projects by defining, prioritizing, and tracking initiatives, resolving challenges, and aligning timelines.
• Design and structure new strategic endeavors such as product diversification, private market expansion, and ecosystem growth.
• Facilitate cross-departmental alignment on priorities, supporting governance committees and senior management with structured updates and decision-making documents.
• Engage stakeholders internally and externally including regulators and partners to foster strategic collaboration.
• Conduct in-depth analyses on critical topics like market structure, liquidity, international positioning, and investor participation.
• Identify strategic risks, opportunities, and emerging trends related to the capital markets sector.
• Provide thought leadership for the development of capital markets and exchange strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 15 years of experience in strategy consulting, capital markets, financial services, or related sectors.
• Proven expertise in strategy formulation and leading large-scale transformation programs.
• In-depth knowledge of capital markets, market infrastructure, or financial sector development.
• Comfortable engaging at board and executive levels with strong communication and presentation capabilities.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Law; possessing a CFA or a master's degree is advantageous.
• Experience working in stock exchanges or capital markets advisory roles.
• Familiarity with MENA region capital markets, especially the Qatar financial landscape.
